Man Arrested After Failing to Stop for Police

A man has been arrested this week following failing to stop for police in a vehicle on cloned registration plates, driving dangerously and escaping back in May 2026 on Tressillian Road SE4

Brockley Safer Neighbourhoods Team were able to identify the driver during the incident.

The man was found on a moped on Sunday 5th July, in which the moped failed to stop for police, but the suspect being the passenger fled the bike and was caught and arrested.

The male has been charged for several driving offences and is will have to attend court.

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.
